HOLY FEASTS OF YAHVEH
PASSOVER - PESACH
Feasts are the appointed times and foreshadow Yahveh's plan of salvation and points to Yahshua who is the salvation of Yahveh. Leviticus 23 describes the feasts. Yahshua and the apostle Paul kept all the holy feasts of Yahveh. Passover represents the deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. The children of Israel had to follow steps to escape this final plague, they had to select a 1 yr. old male lamb without blemish or defect and had be killed on the 14th day at twilight. This points to Yahshua's sacrifice who paid the death penalty for our sins. Yahshua is our Passover Lamb. By his shed blood Yahshua reconciled us to the Father now we have direct access to the throne of Yahveh! The covenant is renewed every yr. when we partake of the Passover. the blood on the door symbolizes the blood Yahveh places on our hears to embrace His Lamb . The fire is symbolic of the purification of our sins by the lamb. The bitter herbs reminds us of Yahshua bitter agony in His obedience to do Yahveh's will. Israel was commanded to eat the entire lamb symbolic of the total price Yahshua paid for us. If you follow Israel's passover and apply Messiah Yahshua's blood as atonement to your sins, Yahveh promises when He sees the blood, He will pass over you in judgment!
FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
For 7 days you shall eat unleavened bread without yeast, remove all the leavening agents from your house. Unleavened bread means without sin. On the 1st day hold a set apart convocation and don't work. The Israelites coming out of Egypt foreshadows coming out sinful life. Partaking of the unleavened bread for 7 days means coming out of sin completely, 7 means complete. The matzo bread is pierced with holes that represents Yahshua's wonded body for us at the cross. Yahshua is our unleavened bread from heaven sithout sin! Yahshua the Passover Lamb was sacrificed for the forgivemess of our sins, thus de-leavening or cleansing our lives. Yahshua is the bread of life!
FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS - BIKKURIM
This feast points to Messiah's resurrection. Yahshua is the first Fruit of the resurrection! The wave sheaf offering made up of numerous heads of grain represented the first fruits. These grains were parched by fire just as believers in the body of Messiah are tried and tested by fiery trials. 10 sheaf of barley were cut down, only one was used in the offering. We are the first fruits who rise to newness of life, following the blood redemption of Passover.
FEAST OF PENTECOST - SHAVUOT
Pentecost is an appointed time on which the first covenant was given to israel with the Torah h and the 10 commandments. It is also a day on which the Holy spirit was given. Pentecost or Feast of Weeks means 50 and is counted after the 1st day of unleavened Bread. Seven complete weeks plus the day after the 7th week totaling 50 days. Pentecost also points to the harvest of souls or first fruits unto Yahveh. When believers die our spirits go back to the Father in heaven. When Yahshua returns He will bring back our spirits merged with our glorified bodies and we will become kings and priests during the Millenium with Yahshua. Pentecost is also a feast to contemplate the holiness of Yahveh as described in Ezeqiel 1.
FEAST OF TRUMPETS - YOM TERUAH
During Feast of Trumpets we look forward to the return of Yahshua, for He will return at the sound of the last trumpet and the shout of the archangel. The Feast of Trumpets begins on the 7th month and is a set apart holy convocation. Is also called the "day of jugment" the 10 days of awe solemn repentance that culminate with the day of atonement. Feast of Trumpets is the day when Adam was created, it is the new year or Rosh Hashana and ends at Yom Kippur. The Feast of Trumpets signals the resurrection of the dead in Messiah. and the second coming of Yahshua! ICorint.15:21-23. Yahshua will resurrect the first fruits or the believers to reign with Him for a 1000 years. When Yahshua returns at the Feast of Trumpets to put down a rebellious world and to usher the Kingdom of Yahveh!
ATONEMENT - YOM KIPUR
Atonement is the most significant set apart day of all the feasts. Atonement points to Yahshua who has made atonment for us. Throug Yahshua's death and resurrection, we can be reconciled back to our Father Yahveh. During Atonement we partake of a 24 hr. fast Atonement pictures the marriage of the Lamb Yahshua to His Bride. On the 10th day of the 7th month the high priest enter the holy of holies and sacrified goats one for his own sin and one the scapegoat for the sins of the people to be led out in the wilderness. These goats represent Yahshua taking our sins upon Himself. It is a Sabath of Sabaths when we remember and mourn the fall of Adam and Eve and the first blood sacrifice by Yahveh. Torah was received twice: on Shavuot and Yom Kipur. On yom Kipur the torah was given a second time. The enphasis is on fasting and repentance in order to reach a higher level of spirituality and purity, only then the tabernacle was set up. Yahshua has become our Atonement to deliver us from His judgment.
FEAST OF TABERNACLES - SUKKOT
Feast Tabernacles or Booths is the final Feast for 8 days is the culmination of the annual cycle of times Yahveh invites us into His presence to dwell with Him in special way to tabernacle with Him eternally. On the first day shall be a holy convocation. For 7 days you offer an offering made to Yahveh by fire; on the 8th day, it is a holy assembly you shall do no work. Lev. 23:34. We remember the time when Israel lived in booths for 40 yrs. in His presence, it looks forward to the Millenium when we will dwell with Him eternaly. The evidence of the Shekinah glory leading israel was the pillar of fire. Yahshua becoming that pillar of light. The second evidence was the pillar of cloud when Yahveh ordained that Israel celebrate 40 yrs. that our forefathers were led by his presence in the wilderness. We are commanded to erect booths with 3 walls and a roof so we can see the anticipated sight of the Shekinah glory of Yahveh!
Each of the Feasts is built upon the basis of the previous one and each grows in its revelation of Yahshua as the messiah, each feast reveals more of His nature and the messiah. Another name for this feast is "Time of our rejoicing". Yahshua celebrated His birthday on the Feast of Tabernacles when He appeared with Moses and Elijah. That is the reason why Peter said: lets build 3 sukkot one for Yahshua, one for Moses and one for Elijah! because it was required for the feast!
Tabernacles, Passover and Pentecost are appointed mandated Feasts that we must celebrate since we are going to celebrate them during the Millenium! Yahshua celebrated the Feast of tabernacles and taught in the temple. Yahshua will fulfill the Feast of Tabernacles at His second coming. Tabernacles represents the beginning of the Millenium. Those of us who are first fruits will be part of the first resurretion with our glorified bodies, we will serve under Yahshua as kings and priest asisting Him in the restoration of all things!
Yahshua comes and tabernacles with us at the Feast of Tabernacles. The time of our rejoicing as we celebrate His birth in a sukkah when he tabernacled among us in a temporary body of flesh! We look forward to His return to reign forever in the Milleniual kingdom after the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven will be preached throughout the world and the restoration of all things!
